The facts are both surprising and disturbing. Fatigue has proven to be difficult to measure but its impact on a person’s ability to drive safely has been the subject of a number of studies with concerning results.
This presentation will explore the physical effect of fatigue, its causes, the potential risks and methods to manage fatigue when your workplace is the open road.

Stuart is the Detective Inspector in charge of Road Crime Investigations which includes the Major Collision Investigations Units, Heavy Vehicle Unit and the Heavy Vehicle Crime Investigation Unit.
Stuart joined Victoria Police in 1987 and has an extensive background in general duties, crime investigations and emergency management. In 2010 Stuart took on the inspector’s role in the newly developed Road Policing Strategy Division, building a team of experts and delivering projects, plans and strategies designed to reduce trauma on Victorian roads.
Stuart’s current position allows him to draw upon his extensive operational, investigative and corporate background to ensure investigators are supported and resourced to build upon their already outstanding work and making our roads safer.
